I had another lucid dream the other night. It was R-rated (obviously), as no lucid dream of mine is ever less than 18+. Without expanding too deeply into XXX detail, at one point I was looking around astounded at the authentic quality the dream had in its depiction of waking reality. I was in a room, it was full colour, totally stable, four walls, I was touching binders and papers that were lying on a counter top, watching people as they went about their dream lives. The environment was incredibly difficult to determine any differences between it and waking reality.
At this point I can't remember what triggered me into realizing I was dreaming, I think I was still skeptical, which is something I've trained myself to take as the ultimate YES YOU ARE DREAMING indication. I am never skeptical [of whether I am dreaming or not] during waking reality.
Anyway, some days later during waking hours I was chatting to a good friend of mine who had some tips. In everyday life, tap the palm of your hand with your other hand, whenever you remember. I have been doing this for 30 seconds to a minute every day for two days now. Allegedly, our bodies operate at 5% consciousness and 95% pre-programmed subconscious levels at any given time (I heard this percentage spoken a few times from a self proclaimed expert on the issue after he'd read a few books-- so the accuracy of these percentiles is questionable at best, however is something to consider). The best way to program our subconsciousness is to repeat an activity or belief over in our conscious mind until we have our auto-pilot subconsciousness programmed with the same intention. Eventually, in dream life, you will tap your hand out of habit, and your tapping hand will pass right through the palm of your other hand. Bam! Lucid dreaming! Now, another tip she had was to spin around in your dream if the environment beings to fade away and you feel you are about to wake. In theory, this should keep you within the dream, so you could fly, explore, rip off all your clothes and have sex with everyone, or do whatever else you would want to do. Free virtual reality!
I'm going to continue the tapping thing, and try to update this blog with whatever results I get.
On a darker note, I've been having night terrors lately. The last time it happened was the night after the lucid dream I just spoke of, and in the dream I was pressed down by a white furry creature with an evil scowling grin who was holding me down via my right shoulder and not letting me up. I don't think it was sleep paralysis because I was not in my own room in the dream, but it was similar to hallucinations I've had during sleep paralysis. I began to hyperventilate, which is my usual response to sleep paralysis or any sort of night terror. My boyfriend woke me up a few seconds into the hyperventilation though, and I snapped out of it. Forever grateful to him for that. I was scared shitless.
Before that a few weeks ago, I was sleeping on the couch because my boyfriend had a terrible cold and was snoring profusely. I was frozen on the couch, feeling an ominous presence, and I had fallen out of my body onto the floor, and was doing a weird jerky army crawl desperately clawing my way back to the bedroom. I was trying to get to Matt so he could wake me up. I was intermittently trying to scream, which wasn't working, because I can never scream in this state.
This type of reaction is getting frustrating for me, mainly because I was having an out of body experience and letting it go entirely to waste due to my own irrational fears. I could have relaxed, realized that I was out of body, and gone astrally traveling and had a stellar time! If this ever happens to you, I recommend you try to relax, tell any ominous presence to take a hike, and ask the universe for a guide to help you. The one time I was able to collect my bearings and ask for a guide, a spirit named Yoshi came to my side. Yoshi, the little green dinosaur from Mario Bros. He didn't look like Yoshi from Mario Bros, but the presence of Yoshi (yes my favorite video game character of all time) gave me a sense of peace and I was immediately calmed. I'm working on this, banishing irrational fears, and I'll let you know how it goes. If anyone has any tips, please comment! I would love to hear from you.

States of Consciousness
The lucid state of dreaming is the skill of transporting one's consciousness into a realm in which one deals with a seemingly material environment that is perceivable by 5 human senses, yet bares zero material consequence. I like to call it the Eureka! Sex Time! realm. Most people (including myself) that happen to get there immediately throw off their clothes and start trying to hump the characters that happen to be within reach or sight. Occasionally it's cool to just float instead of walk places or fly around like a gnarly eagle person, but even still the flight usually ends in the molestation of some person generated by the ability the subconsciousness has to create an environment that is unknown. This Realm can be utilized is a playground to live out desires, learn their outcome, and satisfy material cravings without accepting material consequence, but is not to be confused with the Realm(s) of Astral Travel.
The best way to learn to do this if one has not experienced it yet or has trouble inducing it, as I have found, is to make several-times-daily reality checks involving quick musing over generally accepted aspects of Earth during this perceivable manifestation of time such as the sky still being blue, trees are still rooted in the ground, governments still demonstrating convoluted and ill-intentional control over its' people, etc. Soon the consciousness, lying parallel to the subconsciousness, will have been trained to do this compulsorily; and the realization to question one's environment will grant access to the consciousness we have developed on our material Earth plane. I haven't yet figured out how to use lucid dreaming as a springboard into astral travel, which is the exploration of a different Realm all together, but I have heard tales of others experience with this.
Astral travel, according my unfortunately limited experience of it, requires learning to function in a body that does not perform best like the material Earth body does. It usually starts for me with what I feel to be a replica of my body floating out of or getting up to walk out of my material body. The environment looks to be infinite black space overlapping with the Earth environment (items in the room will be suspended there, a comforting inclusion indeed) with a widely spaced white grid "floor" that is both near and far and at first glance available to walk on. At this point, walking can be difficult, like walking through mud. It is common for me to turn around after encountering this difficulty, see my body which has been used as a portal to this vast unknown dimension, and become sucked and locked back within it. I believe this Realm holds more potential by means of access to knowledge about our materially cosmic home that isn't readily available on Earth, according to discussions I've had with people that have also had OBE's (out of body experiences). Bernard, my life-drawing teacher from college, used to talk of having astrally traveled to Mars with a "guide" and seeing pyramids there. He was also apparently offered by three giant floating faces the answers to several questions, the answer to the last being a static screen field of vision with a piercing tone of E when asked to "see" "God". Some plant matter on Earth has the capability of transporting the consciousness into a new state, one by which Shamans administer in many places in the world as a religious beverage meant to induce communication with spirits or awareness of realms usually not perceivable in our third dimensional state, as a teaching process. This is a state that is claimed to also be reachable through the process of meditation.
I feel lucid dreaming and astral travel are rites granted to beings that have elevated their consciousness (or are in the process thereof) outside of the spectral material "good" and "bad" linear illusion of reality as being the only truth. Happy reality-checking!

oh HAI
I dl'd the 2nd Carmen Electra Striptease workout tape, and have been doing it for a week or so, and it's actually awesome. I have never watched a video and worked out to it before. I had a yoga one once, but it was so boring I couldn't stand it. Carmen is charming in her videos. I enjoy her earnest fake laughter and how she modestly tugs on her light lilac velour sweatsuit top to ensure only a sliver of midriff shows. The video is good. It feels like I might actually have abs somewhere in here. I hope I get ripped doing this, not like Kelly Rippa ripped-- she grew a bellybutton penis with whatever workout she's doing. Google it if you don't value your retinas.

Sick. As a FOX.
Okay you know what, Curb Your Enthusiasm is ridiculously hilarious. I am ultra sick, AGAIN, cuz of typically hilarious reasons, and basically I was sitting with a cold in doctors office which was like, honestly PLASTERED with Word printoffs of how if you have like a runny nose, or a fever, or whatever, to go and put a Michael Jackson mask over your face and essentially bathe in the 4 litres of hand sanitizer provided. I was like, oh dear GOD. I do not have Swine Flu, seriously people, YES I am using a Kleenex but no I will not transfer to you The Wrath of the Pig God, or whatever H1N1 stands for. But the reason being, is I probably already had Swine Flu like 3 months ago when a dude at Matt's work had it, and then Matt got sick immediately, and of course after I was done making fun of him, I got painfully sick as well.
Anyway, now I am watching Curb Your Enthusiasm, which is a lot more funny than I thought it would be. I loved Seinfeld as much as the next North American, but I didn't really want to watch a spin off. Which this totally isn't at all, so clearly I misunderstood the still vague correlation.
I leave you with this quote:
“I’d rather have the thieves than the neighbors – the thieves don’t impose. Thieves just want your things, neighbors want your time.”

drink tea everyday, beotch
K, best thing ever right now, Matcha tea with roasted brown rice tea, and Spirited Away. It's totally amazing. At one point I was actually slack jawed, watching a gigantic rolling monster made of green sloppy sludge cannonball into a bathtub creating a sludge tidal wave of epic animated proportion. Pretty animation too. I love anime, but really who doesn't. The Japanese generally know what's up, I think.

I love rainbows.
I have been playing Donkeykong Country for a while. I learned how to reboot my xbox with the controller. Pretty convenient. When I got this game originally, in like 1994 or 1995 or whatever, we got some information video about this game and how high tech it was. And the graphics are still stunning to this day. Such fun game play as well, shooting yourself out of a perilously spinning barrel hanging in the midst of thin air pointed 50% of the time at a hovering up and down giant buzzing hornet? AS A MONKEY??? It's entertaining, dude. I'd spent a good quantity of my child life putting hours into that game. Worth every penny.
In other news, today is my Friday and I have two days off, which is sweet, and then during Halloween weekend I have four days!! It's my favorite holiday ever. I am going to attempt to be Rainbow Brite. I bought some rainbow thigh high socks, which I kind of want to wear during everyday life. More people should wear rainbow everything. It's so pretty!!! I love rainbows.
Anyway PL
